The notion of anything “Chevrolet” older than 4 years being worth $7k is hilarious.

$2500 at best.
It’s nice to have the paperwork, but really only if the car deserves it. A triple green ‘72 four door is not that deserving.

Maybe. I’ve been shopping the old Novas pretty hard recently. I’ll be interested to see what it closes at. I missed out on one the other day that was the deal of the century. Guy said, “Can you come tomorrow?” I said, “Sure.” Then he sold it an hour later. It was an $8k car that would cost closer to $20k to assemble as it sat. Oh well. I have a tuition bill for my eldest about to come due and the balance on the HELOC, when Mrs. O.C. showed it to me the other morning, caused me to gasp slightly. So maybe I’ll repair the window regulator in the van, instead.

Just put it on the other side of the wall when you build it and make Chrysler pay for it.

You basically want a ‘69-’72 two door. That’s it. ‘71-’72 will have the 8.5" rear even in the base models which is an upgrade over the 8.2" of the previous years.
There are plenty of them out there.

No, it’s definitely worth more than that. It’s at the top of its fetching power right now. I’ve been shopping old Novas hard lately. I wouldn’t have given seven grand for this one, but it would fetch $5k if it would fetch a nickel.

Not if you want a four-door.

Yeah, at second glance the interior is still very nice. Shame it will need a spray though.

Oh, you are shopping specifically for a four door? OK, cool. Sorry.
But same stuff applies.

A spray? Do you mean a coat of paint?

It’s good. Yes, it’s gotta have four doors, but I prefer the ‘66-67. Relatively few of the four-doors survive of any old sedan. Think: Grandpa can drift.

Just really on that one fender, and that’s only if you care enough. Sheet metal looks straight and door gaps are good.
I said shame because the rest of it looks pretty clean.

Well, for a long time all of this stuff was just “an old car” and even when they started being collected the 4 doors were not really desired much.
66-67 wagons are cool too, but they can be tricky to find.

Bleh, ugh. The 307 was the most unclean SBC. Needed to be aborted in the 4th trimester.
